NATO’s secretary general has said the defense ministers of member states have approved sending four battalions to Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and Poland. Yens Stoltenberg said NATO aims to boost its forces in the Black Sea region. Stoltenberg however claimed that the alliance does not seek confrontation with Russia and it prefers a constructive dialogue with Moscow. Meanwhile, a Russian official said Moscow will not pull back its military units from its borders. First deputy head of the Russian Federation Council defense committee, Frants Klintsevich, said his country has enough resources to respond to NATO’s move. He complained that the organization follows the U-S dictates.
