Russia and China are opposed to the planned deployment of a U.S. anti-missile system in South Korea. The two countries foreign ministers say the dispute in the Korean peninsula should be resolved through dialog. The two officials were speaking after a meeting in Beijing. They also pointed to the territorial dispute over the South China Sea. In an apparent reference to the United States, Lavrov said extra-regional countries should avoid interfering in the dispute. The Chinese foreign minister also said those without direct territorial claims to the South China Sea should not make the situation more complicated.
