A nationwide poll in the US suggests that over half of Americans believe the system used for picking presidential nominees is rigged against certain candidates. The Reuters-Ipsos poll also shows more than two-thirds of the respondents want the process changed. The results are in line with complaints by Republican candidate Donald Trump and Democratic challenger Bernie Sanders. They say the system favors candidates with strong ties to parties. The criticism has triggered a debate in the US on the fairness of the primary elections process.
