The United States is reportedly planning to deploy more troops to Syria under the pretext of fighting against terrorism. The report, published by the Wall Street Journal, says Washington will send 250 personnel to the war-torn country. This would bring to 300 the total number of American troops in Syria. The report added that U-S President Barak Obama will make the announcement on Monday. The White House says its ground troops will help in the fight against Daesh terrorists. This comes as the Syrian army backed by Russia has made considerable gains against ISIL in recent months.
