Russia’s envoy to NATO Alexander Grushko made the remark after the first NATO-Russia Council was held in almost two years. He said Moscow sees no improvement in bilateral relations until the US-led alliance scales down military activities on Russian borders. After the meeting, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said it’s vital to keep channels of communication with Moscow open. However, he said there are still deep disagreements between the military alliance and Moscow over the crisis in eastern Ukraine.
