Turkey Confirms Attacks on Northern Syria

Ankara has confirmed that Turkish forces have struck Kurdish fighters in northern Syria. Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said the attacks were in line with rules of engagement. He claimed the military responded to Syrian army fire on a military guard post in Turkey’s southern Hatay region. Davutoglu also said members of the Kurdish Democratic Union Party must withdraw form an area in Syria’s Aleppo they recently retook from Daesh terrorists. Kurdish fighters seized the Azaz border crossing near Minnigh airbase in Aleppo form ISIL terrorists.
