NATO Accuses Russia of Violating Turkish Airspace

    The NATO Secretary General says Russia’s air strikes in Syria are damaging peace talks in Geneva. Jens Stoltenberg also accused Russia of violating Turkish airspace and said the country’s air presence has caused tensions with Turkey. Stoltenberg was talking to reporters as he arrived in Amsterdam to meet with EU defense ministers. In recent months the Russian air strikes have helped the Syrian government gain considerable ground against militant groups. Syrian forces have recently made advances against militants in the northern province of Aleppo.
