Russia Calls Turkish Army Deployment in Iraq Illegal

  The Russian foreign ministry says the Turkish forces have arrived without the approval of the Iraqi government. It said in a statement that the presence of Turkish forces is quote – a very serious factor of tensions. The ministry also slammed the US-led coalition for targeting Syrian government forces, saying Russia is seriously concerned over the incident. At least four Syrian forces were killed and over a dozen were injured in the attack on a Syrian army base in the central province of Dayr al-Zawr. Immediately after the strike, the ISIL terrorists attacked the base but were forced to withdraw.
