A series of shootings and explosions have rocked the French capital Paris, claiming the lives of at least 26 people. A gunman with an automatic gun opened fire at a restaurant in central Paris. Eyewitnesses say at least ten people were lying on the road either dead or seriously injured. They say they heard more than 100 rounds being fired. Police have cordoned off the area. The gunman has not been apprehended yet. Another shooting was also reported at a concert hall. Several people were reportedly taken hostage there. Several explosions were also heard near the Stade de France stadium, where the France national football team was hosting Germany. French President Hollande was watching the match. He was evacuated from the stadium immediately. It’s still unclear if the events were linked.
