Iran’s president says Israel is reaping the benefits of the continuation of insecurity and instability in the Middle East. Hassan Rouhani says peace and security in the region would benefit all regional states but work to the detriment of Israel. He said Iran is ready for negotiations on regional issues on condition that talks are aimed at bringing security and stability to the region. Iran’s president called for a political solution in Syria, Yemen and Bahrain, adding that such a solution could only be found through constructive interaction. Rouhani said in case Saudi Arabia stops its intervention in neighboring Yemen, many problems would be resolved there. He made the comments in a meeting with foreign ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions to foreign countries.
