Greek PM Warns of Greece Exit from the Eurozone

  Tsipras says what is now known as the Grexit cannot be an option either for the Greeks or the European Union. He says this will be an irreversible step and would put an end to the eurozone. Tsipras says Greece cannot absorb the savings program that he says is being forced upon the debt-stricken country by the EU and the International Monetary Fund. The Greek prime minister also says the whole concept needs to be changed. Tsipras’s comments come as leaders of the 19-member eurozone will meet in Brussels on Monday to discuss the crisis over Greece’s bailout plan.
