  Russia says US troops are training Ukrainian forces in the combat zone in eastern Ukraine. The Russian Defense Ministry says the presence of US troops comes despite promises to hold the exercises at a remote range in the country’s west. The Pentagon quickly denied the claim. This comes a day after the US State Department said Russia has deployed air defense systems in eastern Ukraine. Moscow slammed Washington’s claim as astonishing in its incompetence. US paratroopers arrived in western Ukraine last week to train National Guard units.
