HRW Slams Israeli Abuse of Thai Workers on Farms!

  Rights groups have condemned Israel’s abuse of Thai laborers working on farms in the settlements. Human Rights Watch said 25,000 Thai workers in Israel are being exploited. The New York-based group said Tel Aviv is doing nothing to stop the abuse. The group said the laborers are forced to work longer hours and earn lower wages than the legal limits. It said the situation is made even worse by unsafe working conditions and poor housing. Local NGOs say the Human Rights Watch report supports their findings. They say the agricultural sector is a greenhouse for labor and human rights violations of migrant workers.
