Kurdish forces, defending the Syrian city of Kobani, have engaged in fierce clashes with ISIL Takfiri militants. The two sides exchanged rockets as huge explosions shook Kobani, sending thick columns of smoke into the air. Reports say Kurdish fighters pushed the terrorists out of some parts of the city on the Turkish border after clashes with them. The foreign-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights says at least 13 ISIL militants and six Kurdish fighters have been killed in the fighting. The Takfiri terrorists have laid a siege to Kobani since mid-September.
