  President Obama announced on Monday that he will waive the federal law intended to prevent the supply of arms to terrorists groups — the Arms Export Control Act (AECA) — so the U.S. can provide arms and other military assistance to the Syrian rebels.

  Radio talk-show host Glenn Beck then called for Obama to be impeached because of this action, the first time that Beck has called for Obama’s impeachment. Noting that Obama wants to provide arms to Al Qaeda, Beck said: “Now, if that isn’t an act of treason, I don’t know what is. If that is not an act of insanity, I don’t know what is.”“This president, John McCain, Lindsey Graham, and John Boehner, and anyone else who stands for giving aid and comfort, military support to al-Qaeda in Syria, should be impeached,” Beck added. The next question is: Has Obama also waived that law for Saudi Arabia? Or are his arms deals with the Saudis in violation of federal anti-terrorism laws?
