As LaRouche reiterated in his Friday evening webcast, there is no competent evidence of Syrian deployment of chemical weapons, or that that there is a an imminent U.S. military attack planned.
–
LPAC reported that the source of wild media frenzy over these Syrian WMDs and the U.S. attack “is Tony Blair, who is again touring the United States on behalf of the Obama administration that he controls.”
–
What we do have confirmation of is Blair’s leading role, as in the case of Iraq War 2003, in the international propaganda to trigger a war against Syria. On Dec. 3, Blair spoke at a Yale University forum on the global crisis where he called for support for the Syrian opposition, told the “Americans” to “give up” on being loved around the world, and to quickly regain their “economic swagger,” so that they can assert their leading role in the world as the British tool.
–
After Yale, Blair has filled the CNN air waves at least three times on Dec. 3 and Dec. 4 to spread his filth against Syrian president Bashar al-Assad, pushing the line that that Assad’s use of chemical weapons is a red line for tough military measures by the U.S.
–
Promising the overthrow of Assad, Blair said that the West has “to look at ways now that we give support to the Syrian opposition, especially around this notion of how you protect certain parts of the territory for them and really just send a signal to Assad that this will only have one outcome. The important thing here is to show that in the end it is a matter of time. It’s when and not if.”
–
Evoking his 1999 “humanitarian war” doctrine, Blair lied that Assad is losing the war to the opposition and wiping out whole cities with airpower, and therefore it is urgent to stop him from killing more civilians:
–
“[A]lmost 40,000 people have died so far,” Blair told CNN on Dec. 4. “They’re dying every day. This is why large numbers of civilians are dying—essentially the Assad forces can no longer really combat Syrian opposition hand-to-hand on the ground. So what they’re doing is they’re just using their superior air power and fire power just to wipe out villages and towns. And that means you have an indifference to the loss of civilian life.”
–
It appears that Blair is still in the United States pushing this war policy.
