  The London Guardian reported on Sept. 12 that the British government had admitted to Parliament that MI6 head Sir John Sawers, representing British Prime Minister David Cameron, had visited Israel roughly two weeks earlier for meetings with Isralie Prime Minister Netanyahu and Defense Minister Ehud Barak concerning a possible Israeli attack on Iran.  The Guardian story includes an unsourced, false report that Cameron had sent Sawers to obtain Israeli assurances that Israel would not attack.  This is belied by U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Gen. Martin Dempsey’s trip to London that same week (Aug. 30), precisely to put a stop to British instigation of wars in Syria and Iran. That latter was clearly the real purpose of Sawers’ trip.

  On the highly-publicized public fight between Netanyahu and Obama, Lyndon LaRouche said today that “It indicates that Netanyahu is getting too much pressure from Obama to attack Iran. Obama is the one who is pushing him.  Netanyahu wouldn’t even dare do this thing in the first place without backing from a U.S. President or similar authority.
