Full speed ahead to Russian retaliatory strike
Russian President Vladimir Putin himself threatened NATO member countries with the use of nuclear weapons, saying that “the small populous countries of the Alliance should be careful” implying that they would not be able to withstand a nuclear strike unlike Russia and its vast territory.
–
The Russian president then commented on the statements of NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg regarding the use of Western weapons on Russian soil.
–
In Putin’s view, the NATO chief seems to be unaware of what is at stake – if this ultimately happens – and wanted to point out some points to him.
–
“Small, densely populated NATO member countries should beware”
Commenting (Putin) on the statements of Jens Stoltenberg and other Western officials about missile attacks on targets inside Russia, he emphasized that “Officials from NATO countries, especially those based in Europe and especially in small European countries, should be fully aware of what is at stake.
…
“As for the strikes, frankly, I’m not sure what the NATO Secretary General is saying. If he is talking about a possible attack on the territory of Russia with long-range precision weapons, he, as a person who heads a military-political organization, although a civilian like me, should know that long-range precision weapons cannot be used without space reconnaissance.
–
That’s my first point.”
Continuing on the second, Putin emphasized that “My second point is that the final selection of the target and what is known as the launch mission can only be done by specialized experts based on this reconnaissance data, technical reconnaissance data.
–
For some attack systems, such as Storm Shadow, these launch missions can be carried out automatically, without the need to use the Ukrainian military. Who does this? Those who manufacture and those who are supposed to supply these attack systems to Ukraine. This can and does happen without the participation of the Ukrainian army.”
–
“The mission is set by representatives of NATO countries, not by the Ukrainian army”
“The launch of other systems, like ATACMS for example, is also based on space reconnaissance data, targets are recognized and communicated automatically to the relevant crews who may not even realize what they are actually putting up.
–
A crew, possibly a Ukrainian crew, then puts on the corresponding launch mission. However, the mission is set by representatives of NATO countries, not by the Ukrainian army.”
