Two separate test launches of an Air Force Global Strike Command unarmed Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile from north Vandenberg Space Force Base are scheduled for the first week of June.

Vandenberg Guardians and Airmen will support the two operational tests to be conducted from the Vandenberg Test Range on June 4 between 12:01 a.m. and 6:01 a.m. as well as June 6 between 12:01 a.m. and 6:01 a.m.

Consistent with previous test launches, the ICBM test launch is being conducted by Air Force Global Strike Command and was scheduled years in advance to demonstrate the readiness of U.S. nuclear forces and validate the lethality and effectiveness of the nation’s nuclear deterrent weapon system.
