  An Indian Army helicopter carrying senior defence officials reportedly crashed at Coonoor in Tamil Nadu’s Nilgiris district. An IAF Mi-17V5 helicopter, with CDS Gen Bipin Rawat on board, met with an accident today near Coonoor, Tamil Nadu. An Inquiry has been ordered to ascertain the cause of the accident,” tweeted the Indian Air Force. The status of the estimated 14 in the helicopter has not yet been confirmed, though sources claimed that Rawat was safe.
