A daylight fireball was recorded over the sky of Bahia, Brazil at around 13:02 UTC (10:02 LT) on Monday, May 17, 2021. The event was followed by a sonic boom heard by residents of the Macaúbas Brotas region. The bolide was detected by the GOES-16 weather satellite and 4 cameras of the Clima ao Vivo.
