The International Atomic Energy Agency has once again confirmed that Iran is living up to its assurances under the 2015 nuclear agreement I-AEA chief, Yukiya Amano said in a statement that Iran is implementing its nuclear-related commitments in accordance with the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action. Amano, without naming a country or entity, criticized efforts to throw the credibility of the agency into question. He insisted any attempt to micro-manage or put pressure on the IAEA in its nuclear verification is counter-productive and extremely harmful. Amano’s remarks came a day after the US president slammed his country’s intelligence agencies for also acknowledging Tehran’s compliance with the terms of the JCPOA. Donald trump said intelligence people are extremely passive, naive and wrong about Iran, adding that the Islamic Republic was very close to the edge.
