  Israeli airstrikes and tank fire kill at least four people across the Gaza Strip. The Israeli attacks also injured 120 Palestinians. The Israeli military says the attacks were in response to shots fired at its troops from Gaza. An Israeli soldier was also shot dead by Palestinian gunfire from the enclave. The flare-up can potentially lead to another major military conflict between Gaza and Israel. The two sides have fought three wars since 2008.
