European JCPOA Signatories Must Give Guarantees

  Iran’s leader says the European signatories to the 2015 nuclear deal must give necessary guarantees regarding the agreement. Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, however, said Iran’s government and officials must avoid tying the country’s economy to the issue. Ayatollah Khamenei added Iran needs to expand its relations with other countries including western governments except the US. The leader praised Iranian President Hassan Rouhani’s comments during his recent visit to Europe. He said it’s necessary to act and speak decisively in the face of foreign governments, most notably the U-S. Ayatollah khamenei was speaking in a meeting with the Iranian president and his cabinet members.
