Belgium: Deputy FM Says Iran Waiting for European Proposal to Save Nuclear Deal

  Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Seyed Abbas Araghchi commented on the status of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), or Iranian nuclear deal, in Brussels on Friday. “We are waiting for the Europeans to give us their practical solutions to the issue in the form of a package, which, we think they will be able to present to us by the end of the current Christian month,” Araghchi The Iranian deputy foreign minsiter then asserted: “We will decide based on that as to the approach to take regarding the JCPOA, that is, whether to stay in or quit it.” Following the United States’ withdrawal from the nuclear deal, the remaining parties involved have been determined to save the JCPOA.
