Putin: Claims of Syria Gas Attack ‘Provocation’

  US president Donald Trump is threatening Syria and its allies, saying he will make major decisions soon over an alleged chemical attack in the Arab country. Trump has already warned in a tweet that there will a big price to pay for Saturday’s purported gassing in Douma, Eastern Ghouta. At least 40 people are said to have been killed in the town where small pockets of terrorists are still holed up. Russia’s President Vladimir Putin has described claims that a chemical attack was carried out by the Syrian army as an unacceptable provocation. He has called for a thorough investigation, saying speculations on this matter must end. The Russian military has also announced it hasn’t found any traces of chemical agents in Douma.
