Former Congresswoman and 2008 Green Party US Presidential Candidate, Cynthia McKinney joins us for a look inside the dark workings of the military-industrial-intelligence complex.
–
She was a vocal critic of the government’s response to Hurricane Katrina, introduced legislation to release documents related to the murders of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Tupac Shakur. She was also the first Member of Congress to file articles of impeachment against George W. Bush; during her terms, she voted against every war-funding bill put before her. In 2008, Cynthia McKinney won the Green Party nomination and ran for U.S. President.
–
Today, from her present base in Bangladesh, McKinney continues to speak out, despite the harassment and reprisals that followed her bold inquiries into the actions of high ranking politicians, military officers, powerful defense contractors, and her own colleagues. 12 years after leaving Congress, she is now being vindicated as the crimes of criminal theft, human trafficking, and sweetheat deals with military contractors all emerge.; She say that we are at a critical mass of people waking up. That the emergence of the alternative media now challenges the hegemony and corruption of the mainstream media.
–
That whistleblowers like Cybele Edmunds, and the exposure of deep political intrigue in the ongoing investigations by YouTube journalist, George Webb are closing the loop on the truth behind the scenes in Washington, D.C. Over 90 minutes we cover an array of topics, with Cynthia, who as always, is outspoken, exuberant, and completely passionate about human rights and breaking the chains of oppression by the Elites.
