  VLADIMIR Putin could be on the verge of declaring a full-scale war with the launch of a huge military operation.

  Russia has launched one of its largest set of exercises to prepare its military is ready for a showdown with Britain, the US and NATO. Russian army units, air force, airborne troops and the navy’s northern fleet will be tested over the next week – to ensure their WW3 readiness. The snap manoeuvres is a response to NATO bolstering its forces along the Russian border, military sources have revealed. Security experts have warned Russia could overrun Eastern Europe in 60 hours.

  Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu said: “[The exercises are] to defend the interests of the Russian Federation amid increasing threats to its security.” The operation – which will run until 31 – began with drills of the military’s rapid response rate yesterday. Army units will also undergo war simulations, it was also revealed. About 8,000 military servicemen and over 2,000 miltary vehicles are reportedly involved in the training activities. These exercises come after Russia built up forces along its Ukraine border – prompting the Ukrainian president to put his military on high alert.
