The co-chair of a recent US investigation into the 9/11 attacks says the indirect connections between former Saudi ambassador Bandar bin Sultan and an al-Qaeda operative is worthy of pursuing further.

Bob Graham said the ties were the most stunning part of the investigation. The evidence suggests that while in the US, some of the hijackers received support from individuals, who may have been connected to Riyadh. The data indicates that there was a link between a key al-Qaeda operative and a company associated with Prince Bandar. The documents show that a contact number linked to a company that managed Bandar’s estate in Colorado was found in the phone log of the al-Qaeda operative. The revelations come weeks after the US released the long-delayed 28 pages of a 2002 congressional report on the nine-eleven attacks.
