Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has announced tougher penalties for Palestinians who throw stones at Israeli forces in protest. Netanyahu warned that there will be significant fines for minors who do the act. He announced the decision during an emergency meeting with his ministers and security officials. This came after Israeli forces stormed the al-Aqsa Mosque compound for the third consecutive day on Tuesday despite international condemnations. The attacks, which left many casualties among Palestinians and brought damages to the holy site, were responded by angry stone-throwers. Palestinians fear Tel Aviv may restrict their access to the mosque and change the arrangements there.
