    Geopolitical commentator Dean Henderson has said that nearly all Republicans feel “beholden to Israel” than the United States regarding Iran’s nuclear program.

    “Almost all Republicans are beholden to Israel; they have more allegiance to… Israel than they have to their own country, the United States,” Henderson told Press TV on Monday. He made the comments one day after House of Representatives Speaker John Boehner said that a nuclear standoff with Iran is preferable to the agreement the Obama administration is currently negotiating with the Islamic Republic.

    Iran and the P5+1 group of countries — the United States, Britain, France, Russia, China and Germany — are engaged in intense talks in Vienna, Austria, towards reaching a landmark accord over Tehran’s nuclear energy program. Boehner said that the Obama administration “backed away from almost all of the guidelines that they set up for themselves.” He added that “if, in fact, there’s no agreement, the sanctions are going to go back in place.”

    Henderson said, “I think it’s a bunch of blow and it’s all political and the Republicans continue to relegate themselves to sort of this dinosaur party in America.” “The thing is we’re going to probably have this agreement anyway,” he said, adding that President Barack Obama can “override any veto.”
