Britain’s security service M-I-5 is being accused of complicity in torture. A Dutch man of Somali origin says he was questioned by an M-I-5 agent while he was in an Egyptian prison earlier this year. Ahmed Diini says during his eight-month imprisonment in Cairo, he was shackled, hooded, repeatedly beaten, and threatened that his wife would be raped. Diini claims that the alleged M-I-5 agent who worked closely with Egyptian security forces promised him his freedom if he agreed to work for the British intelligence service. The Dutch man was imprisoned for unknown reasons following the ouster of president Mohamed Morsi. A campaign group says this is the evidence of British complicity in torture.
