  Russian president Putin urged both Kiev and anti-government protesters to take steps to de-escalate the crisis in eastern Ukraine. He also stated Russia pulled its troops from the border and urged the anti-government activists to postpone their planned vote on autonomy. However the May 11th vote is going on as planned.
