On Jan 3, 2014, Helga Zepp LaRouche issued a statement called “Is Europe Sleepwalking Its Way to World War, as in 1914?” which brought international attention to her and Lyndon LaRouche’s warning of the imminence of thermonuclear war because of British Empire puppet Barack Obama.

Today, as the Kiev-controlled tanks were rolling into Eastern Ukraine against the pro-Russian population, the London Daily Mirror tabloid blasted the headline, “EDWARD LUCAS: I hope I’m wrong but historians may look back and say this was the start of World War III.”
–
The headline is followed by alarming kickers quoting Lucas that warn, “If we choose to resist Putin, we will risk a terrifying miltary escalation …. This could bring us to the brink of nuclear war’
–
By late April 16, the Lucas article was the lead item on the heavily trafficked U.S. website, Drudgereport.com. At the end of his article, Lucas, the author of a book called “The New Cold War,” warns that if the West continues to push Russia, “Putin will put its nuclear forces on alert.” Then, “As the centenary of the Great War [WWI] in July approaches, historians are vying to pinpoint the chain of events which started that conflict. I may be wrong, but in 100 years time, will their successors look back at the events in Ukraine to make sense of the beginnings of the next world conflagration?”

One of the most dangerous parts of the picture is that Washington is indeed “sleepwalking.” As NATO Secretary General Rasmussen, and NATO Supreme Commander Gen. Breedlove threaten and deliver increased military hardware and troops to Eastern European countries bordering Russia, the White House and Congress are going through the motions of meaningless “business as usual,” in the words of Politico journalist Philip Ewing.
–
“Dozens of Air Force fighter aircraft are deployed to Eastern European countries to reassure them about U.S. support during the standoff. And an American destroyer hosted the president of Romania on Tuesday as the Navy showed the Stars and Stripes in the Black Sea,” Ewing says.
–
“There’s a sense of unreality inside the Beltway as news networks broadcast images of armed masked men carrying out military operations in the worst standoff between Russia and the West since the end of the Cold War,” Ewing says.

Congress and the White House were heading off in different directions for Easter recess, while Obama himself was busy commuting the sentence of a marijuana dealer.
