Israeli Army Lays Siege to Palestinian Refugee Camp in Hebron Al-Khalil ! Israel is Pushing Ahead With Its Plans for Building 100 More Settler Units!

  Israeli soldiers have laid siege to al Arroub refugee camp in Hebron otherwise known as Al Khalil, by blocking all exits and attacking the residents there on a daily basis. Over the past several days, dozens of Palestinians have been wounded and dozens more have suffered from tear gas inhalation during clashed with Israeli forces. According to locals, the soldiers shot randomly at residents not involved in the clashes with rubber coated steel bullets, live fire and tear gas. They then prevented the ambulance from entering the camp to collect the wounded for hours. Four children are among those injured during the Israeli attacks.

  Israel is pushing ahead with plans to build more settler units in the occupied Palestinian land despite international outcries. A new statement by Tel Aviv says five-hundred fifty-eight more settler units will be constructed in East Jerusalem al-Quds. This is the latest in settlement projects which Israel has been speeding up over the past years. Israeli settlements are illegal under international law. The UN and much of the international community have condemned Israel’s expansionism as illegal. They want an end to its settlement activities in Palestinian territories. The settlements are also one of the main obstacles in talks between Israelis and the Palestinian Authority.
