He’s dead right about the hype. I still remember the news coverage at the time of 9/11. I live in Australia, and the thing that still sticks in my mind is how, from the time the planes hit the towers, every TV show was cancelled and we had wall-to-wall 9/11 coverage for the next 2 days. This global media coverage had to be all set up and ready to go, and adds to my belief that this was a staged attack. Plus the fact that when the towers collapsed, the first thought that went through my mind was ‘controlled demolition”. I had seen documentaries about how demolition experts collapse high-rise buildings and it is a definite science, not something that just happens when a fire starts in the upper floors of a tower. It involves demolition explosives being carefully placed at strategic points in the building, and beams being cut at an angle to facilitate the collapse. I have seen footage on Youtube of beams from the WTC with those angled cuts in them – and also the fact that those beams were not held as evidence for an investigation but were shipped off to China for scrap as soon as the authorities could get them on the ship. Not looking good for the scoffers at this point but hey the media have the power to brainwash a lot of people. For those of us who posses critical intellectual faculties however, the edutainment they attempt to dish out to us is nauseatingly patronising. Probably why I don’t watch TV much any more.
